Asif Jakwani brings over 30 years of experience in the power semiconductor industry, with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and strategic execution. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at ON Semiconductor Corporation (Onsemi) from February 2020 to March 2024. In this role, Asif led the Advanced Power Division (APD), overseeing the company’s global power discrete and module portfolio—including its high-growth silicon carbide (SiC) business.
During his 17-year tenure at Onsemi, Asif held a series of leadership roles with increasing responsibility, driving product development, business growth, and operational excellence. Prior to joining Onsemi in 2007, he held key marketing and design engineering positions at Tyco Electronics Power Systems and Current Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation.
Asif holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Currently, Asif serves on the Board of Directors of Amtech Systems (NASDAQ: ASYS) and is a Principal Consultant with Efficient Power Consulting, LLC.
Long Lam brings over 36 years of experience in driving innovation across power discrete devices, modules, and advanced semiconductor technologies. His distinguished career encompasses technology and new product development, wafer fabrication operations, device characterization, and cross-functional project management. He has successfully led diverse, global teams to deliver high-performance solutions aligned with critical business objectives.
Mr. Lam specializes in the development of IGBT and Si/SiC MOSFET-based power discretes and modules. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Product and Test Engineering at onsemi from June 2012 to December 2024. In this role, he led the advancement of power solutions for industrial energy infrastructure, automotive electric vehicle (EV) traction and Data Center power.
Prior to joining the Advance Power Division at onsemi, Mr. Lam held various leadership roles at Motorola/onsemi from January 1991 to June 2012, focusing on CMOS, BCD, and high-voltage power IC development. A recognized expert in technology platform development and advanced packaging, Mr. Lam has a strong track record in optimizing device performance, quality, and cost-effectivesness in power and analog/mix signal technologies.
Mr. Lam holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and a graduate certification in Integrated Circuit Design from National Technological University.
He is currently the Principal Consultant at Efficient Power Consulting, LLC, where he continues to drive innovation in power semiconductor solutions.
